2020年7月20日-7月31日，我院国际化办公室主任管迟瑜、研究生张韧哲、本科生潘叶赟、裘索圆满完成了由加州大学戴维斯分校-西部食品安全保障中心举办的“全球健康—食品安全与保障”线上访学项目。

参会者包含来自中国、英国、美国、尼泊尔、日本16所高校的70多名学生和教师。会议邀请了加州大学戴维斯分校近20位学者专家，讲座内容涉猎动物医学、环境科学、食品科学、植物科学、公共卫生、生物学等领域的前沿话题，并介绍了美国留学申请的具体要求和流程。 会议为不同专业背景的学生提供了大量互动协作的机会，邀请国内外研究生作课题报告，安排留学生活座谈会等。会议的最后一项议程是由各小组就一个全球性问题进行阐述，并提出综合解决方案。会议末，主办方为与会人员颁发纪念证书。

该项目大大拓宽了学生们的国际化视野以及专业领域外的知识面，加深了学生对全球健康问题的认识，演练了团队建设、团队协作等。

International Program Coordinator, Dr. Chiyu Guan, graduate student, Renzhe Zhang and

undergraduate students, Suo Qiu and Yeyun Pan have left their virtual footprints in the “One Health for Food Systems Conference” July 20-31，2020, sponsored by the Western Institute for Food Safety and Security (WIFSS), University of California Davis.

Joined by more than 70 faculty and students from 16 universities across the world, this conference is all about integrating Veterinary, Food, Animal, Agriculture, and Engineering Sciences. Top scholars and professors from various departments in UC Davis were invited to share their great minds in topics pertaining to veterinary medicine, environmental science, food science, plant science, public health, biology and etc. Students were also orientated on US graduate programs and application policy. Interactive discussion panels were held where graduate students presented their research projects and UC Davis students shared their life experience on campus. A mindset of “One Health” approach was established for the students through two weeks of intensive lectures across multiple disciplines, team-building exercises and problem based learning. A certificate ceremony was held to acknowledge each student’s effort and faculty’s participation during the conference.

All in all, this virtual conference has bestowed a truly mind blowing learning experience on the students to raise their awareness of “One Heath”, practice teaming building and put into action.
